These gel-permeation chromatography (GPC) standards for natural and synthetic polymer applications provide pre-weighed, accurate portions, and are traceable to standards provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Triple Detection Standards (TDS) consist of six sets of two standards each, one narrow and one broad. They calibrate detectors that are used in triple detection, such as light-scattering, viscometers, and refractometers. Universal Calibration Standards (UCS) consist of six sets of twelve individual narrow standards, each designed to be used for column calibrations, either conventional molecular weight (MW) calibration with a concentration detector, or universal calibration with a viscometer detector. The narrow standard is helpful in determining detector volume offsets and peak broadening errors; it is particularly useful for checking molecular weight density (MWD) and other molecular values. Each standard comes in its own vial, which eliminates resolution problems, and has pre-printed labels for lab notebooks.
