DeltaV Analyze V2.0 software

DeltaV Analyze V2.0 software helps process automation operators manage alarm system performance to meet the new industry standards for alarm management engineering practice, ANSI/ISA 18.2-2009, “Management of Alarm Systems for the Process Industries,” and the forthcoming complementary standard, IEC62682. Nuisance alarms are a common problem in industrial plants, and the ease with which alarms can be implemented has led to alarm overload, alarm floods, and incorrectly prioritized alarms — all of which diminish the effectiveness of control room operators. DeltaV measures alarm system performance as prescribed by the new standards, including peak and average incoming alarm rate and priority distribution. Reports contain lists of nuisance alarms of various types, such as the sources of the most frequent alarms and those that remain active for the longest time. In addition, the DeltaV process automation system alarms can be optimized using exida’s SILAlarm alarm rationalization software.
