When used in conjunction with the manufacturer’s inline sensors for ultraviolet/visible/near infrared (UV-VIS-NIR) light, turbidity, and pH/conductivity, the Control 4000 microprocessor-based photometric converter provides real-time measurements for liquid and gas process control. The converter is constructed of stainless steel and is suitable for virtually all sanitary clean-in-place (CIP) and sterilize-in-place (SIP) applications. It can also withstand hazardous environments at extreme temperatures and pressures. Common applications include chemical concentration in solutions (such as Cl2, ClO2, H2O2, O3, permanganate, acids, etc.), trace hydrocarbons and aromatics (benzene toluene xylene) in water, free water in refined fuels/hydrocarbons, ASTM/Saybolt/APHA color measurements, turbidity and suspended solids measurements. Features include: simultaneous operation of up to four inline sensors; remote process control functions; readings in ppm, EBC (European Brewing Convention), FTU (phytase units), and g/L, among others; an integrated data logger for quality control; simple menu-based software; and advanced software tools.
