It combines an upflow design with deepbed sand filtration and continuous cleaning to achieve high-quality filtrate with consistently low head loss at varying flow rates. The upflow filter provides a continuous supply of filtered water without interruption for backwash cleaning, making it unnecessary to shut down for backwashing. In addition, the continuous backwash design provides a steady reject stream that eliminates backwash hydraulic surges. The Centra-flo is available in sizes ranging from 10 gal/min to 10,000 gal/min throughput.
