7100 photometer

A replacement for this instrument maker’s 5000 photometer, the 7100 enables advanced instrumental analysis of an extensive range of water tests. Portable and waterproof, the photometer uses light to measure color changes in water samples treated with a reagent. It is accurate to ±0.005 at 0.3 absorbency units (au) and resolution is 0.001au, avoiding the inaccurate results that a comparator color chart may give due to variations in operator eyesight or lighting conditions. The sample is simply placed in the adaptive cell holder, which, with the press of a button, automatically adjusts to any round tube size. The 7100 features automatic light wavelength selection for each of the pre-programmed test methods. It has easy-to-navigate menus, and the software also remembers the most recent tests, making it even quicker to use the next time. Sealed to IP67, the unit runs on standard AB batteries. The photometer is available in two kits, a standard kit and an engineer’s kit designed specifically for mobile water service engineers. Each comes with a carrying case and room to store the required reagents.
