Sean P. Lapekas

Sean Lapekas currently serves as the Senior Process Safety Engineer for Ash Stevens, LLC in Riverview, Michigan. Sean has over 20 years of process safety and process development experience in the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries. In addition to process safety testing and risk management, his experience includes process modeling and simulation of chemical reactions, crystallizations, distillations, and mixing, utilizing laboratory PAT for data rich experiments, development of spray-dried amorphous dispersions, and scale-up trouble-shooting. Sean also serves as the industry chair for the CCPS Pharmaceutical, Food and Fine Chemical Subcommittee. Sean holds a BA in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.
