Innova-Sonic In-Line Model 206

The Innova-Sonic In-Line Model 206 is a digital transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter designed for liquid applications that require high mag­netic-flowmeter performance at an affordable price. It features a reading accuracy of ±0.5% and can measure down to zero flow in virtually any clean liquid, regardless of conductivity. This model works on conductive liquids only, meaning that it cannot measure hydrocarbons, distilled water or many nonaqueous solutions.

Data-at-a-Glance PR125 pressure data logger

The Data-at-a-Glance PR125 pressure data logger features a minimum/maxi­mum display that enables chemical processors to quickly determine if pressures remain in required ranges. It operates at a 1-s sampling rate, and speeds data transfer by using flash memory cards and triple-speed USB-enabled data downloading. It is available in three models to handle 0–100 psi, 0–300 psi and 0–500 psi pressure ranges, and takes measurements in a variety of units: psi, atm, bar, mbar, in H2O, ft H2O, mm Hg, in Hg, Pascal and kP. A waterproof IP-68 case makes the data logger submersible.

Model 350 high-temperature gel permeation chromatography (HT-GPC)

The Model 350 high-temperature gel permeation chromatography (HT-GPC) system is specifically designed for the characterization of polyolefins and other synthetic polymers that are soluble only at elevated temperatures. It provides absolute molecular weight without extrapolation or correction, as well as molecular size (Rg and Rh to less than 1 nm) and intrinsic viscosity. It also gives information on branching, structure and aggregation in a single GPC/SEC (size exclusion chromatography) experiment.

Series 4007B pressure sensors

Series 4007B pressure sensors are designed for harsh environments where space is a consideration. They are available with measuring ranges of 0–5 bar and 0–20 bar absolute for use at temperatures from –40 to 200ºC. The sensors have a direct chip exposure (DCE) design, which does not require a diaphragm. A piezoresistive measuring element measures static and dynamic events with excellent dynamic response. The sensing element relies on an implanted resistive bridge on micro-machined silicon, which minimizes hysteresis and repeatability errors.

X-STREAM process gas analyzers

X-STREAM process gas analyzers now incorporate the manufacturer’s IntrinzX intrinsically linear photometric technology to provide high-sensitivity, large dynamic ranges, and long-term span stability. IntrinzX uses split-cell dual-beam photometry and constant comparison of the reference signal and the measurement signal to achieve an intrinsically linear response to changes in concentration. This enables sensitivity as low as 0–10 ppm, span drift of less than 0.5% per week, and dynamic ranges as large as 0–200 to 0–50,000 ppm.

Exoscan Portable FTIR Spectrometer

The Exoscan is a portable, compact Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer that weighs less than 7 lb and is controlled by a PDA. It is powered by either an on-board rechargeable lithium-ion battery or an AC power adapter. The spectrometer is designed for nondestructive onsite surface and bulk analysis applications, including sampling solids, pastes, gels and liquids. In addition to its external reflectance-sampling interface, it features a sampling system that can handle the analysis of large surfaces.

COX 4080 extended-range flowmeter

Samples can be placed on top of the instrument, so that minimal sample preparation is required. The integrating sphere achieves highly accurate and fast diffuse-reflectance measurements of a wide range of powders and solids, including polymers, plastics, natural materials and incoming feed materials. These types of analyses are of primary interest to research and analytical services in the polymer industry as well as raw material manufacturers.

SPECTRACAP oxygen transmitter OMT355

The SPECTRACAP oxygen transmitter OMT355 measures oxygen concentration optically by analyzing the absorption of light (generated by a tunable diode laser (TDL)), and associating that data to the wavelength characteristic of the oxygen molecule. A compact probe suitable for field use, the OMT355 can be flange-mounted directly into a process without sampling or sample conditioning equipment, providing the user with realtime measurement data without sample-switching delays.
