Insulated Quick-Clean Centri-Sifter

The Insulated Quick-Clean Centri-Sifter is a high-capacity centrifugal screener whose insulated jacket maintains the temperature of hot or cold materials as they are being sifted while keeping the machine’s exterior skin closer to room temperature to ensure personnel safety. Its three-bearing shaft cantilevers to enable the rapid removal of internal components. The external roller bearings located at the motor end of the shaft and on a sliding cover at the discharge end provide for maximum support and enable vibration-free operation.

Antifrogen SOL HT & Antifrogen GEO

Antifrogen SOL HT is a specially designed heat-transfer fluid that allows solar heating systems with high thermal loads to avoid damage that can come from extreme heat excursions in stagnant zones. Developed in response to the increasing use of vacuum collectors in solar systems (which can have stagnation temperatures of 270°C and above), Antifrogen SOL HT offers protection up to 200°C for operating systems, and protection to 270°C for idle systems.

Cleanaire adsorption media

The Cleanaire adsorption media joins an existing family of gas-phase filters for removing odors and other airborne gaseous contaminants from all types of industrial facilities, laboratories, and healthcare and commercial settings. This product is a granular carbonaceous material made from coconut shells, not coal. Unlike traditional activated carbon media (which often come in the form of smooth, uniform pellets), this coarse, randomly shaped media has a larger surface area, improving adsorption and extending the interval between media changeout.

xenon difluoride

This company has added xenon difluoride (XeF2) to its portfolio of electronic materials. When used as an etching gas, primarily in the micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) market, XeF2 provides manufacturers with a high selectivity to silicon compared with SiO2 and other materials. The company says it is uniquely positioned to serve the burgeoning XeF2 market due, in part, to its access to a stable, low-cost supply of xenon, resulting from its many large-scale air-separation units and XeCovery xenon-recovery system.

FDA-compliant polyether polyols

Polyurethane offerings for the CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers) market now include the following FDA-compliant polyether polyols: Pluracol P1010, Pluracol 1044, Pluracol 816, and Pluracol TPE 4542. These products comply with Title 21 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) for select indirect food-contact applications, as stated in sections 175105 Adhesives and 177.1680 Urethanes.

isoboride

This company now offers isoboride under its Evolution Chemicals line of renewable, biobased ingredients. Isoboride is an industrial ingredient made from corn that can be used as a potential alternative to the petroleum-based chemical bisphenol A (BPA), which is widely used during the manufacture of plastics and other materials.

44 Magnum and the Aviator Protective Eyewear

The Jackson Safety brand has added two new products to its Smith & Wesson line of protective eyewear — the 44 Magnum and the Aviator. The 44 Magnum includes several ergonomic features designed for long-term performance and all-day comfort, including a cut-to-shape, distortion-free, one-piece lens, a flexible nose piece that conforms easily to the individual’s face, and vents at the temples to increase air flow. The Aviator line also includes a sturdy structure with a nylon frame.

Serpent Ventilated Safety Helmets

Serpent Ventilated Safety Helmets provide optimal protection against head injury while helping to keep workers cool. The CoolSense air-flow system relies on six vents along the peak of the helmet, which promote heat release and prevent heat buildup under the shell. A cushioned brow pad absorbs moisture and perspiration, and a rain trough diverts water from the face, improving comfort and promoting worker compliance. The helmet is lightweight, weighing just 13.1 oz, and has a sleek, “snakehead” shell design.

PROVALVE

The PROVALVE has no moving parts, and its rugged, durable construction ensures long tray life. Its design prevents valve leg or deck wear and eliminates the potential for popped, fouled, or stuck valves. Its tapered cover provides a forward lateral push to the liquid across the tray and directs and deflects the vapor. This creates a uniform liquid and vapor distribution with a low, even spray height across the entire deck — preventing liquid backflow, suppressing jet flooding, and accommodating a wide operating range and high vapor rates.

X.com H20x–Ex GSM mobile phone

The X.com H20x–Ex GSM mobile phone has rugged construction that protects it from explosion. Based on the well-known Sonim XP3.2 Quest Pro, this mobile phone can be dropped from 6.5 ft onto concrete, submerged in water, covered in dust, and exposed to a temperature range of –5°F to 130°F. It can be used for weeks without charging, and its keyboard touch buttons are tested to function beyond 500,000 pushes. It is certified for Class 1, Division 2 classified areas and features a shockproof Gorilla Glass Lens for scratch and smash resistance.
