Craig Gittleman is a Technical Fellow and the Engineering Group Manager for Fuel Cell Materials and Analysis at General Motors.  He has responsibility for GM’s technical roadmap and R&D for next generation fuel cell systems.  Craig has 30 years of experience in industrial R&D with 26 years of experience in electrochemical energy systems and materials including fuel cells, electrolyzers and Li-ion batteries.   Craig received his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He spent four years at BOC gases developing adsorbents and sorption processes for gas separation and purification before joining GM in 1999. At GM, Craig has worked on on-board fuel processors for fuel cell vehicles, membranes and separators for electrochemical systems including fuel cells and batteries, fundamental fuel cell R&D, and fuel cell system advanced development.
