Join Dr. Arindam Bose’s BioCatalyst Matching Gift Challenge

The AIChE Foundation is delighted to announce and celebrate Drs. Arindam and Gopa Bose for their champion $25,000 matching gift challenge to underwrite the Institute’s Society for Biological Engineering (SBE) student programming and conference registration.

All gifts made now through May 31, 2021 will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling SBE’s global impact and student reach.

Dr. Arindam Bose, AIChE Fellow, has strong ties to SBE dating back to its formation in the 1990s. He supported his fellow AIChE peers in launching this technical community. Throughout the years, Dr. Bose has remained actively involved and contributed transformational gifts to growing the SBE student community. He is deeply committed to supporting the building of professional networks early for the benefit of biological engineering students and young professionals.

Establishing professional networks early helps to ensure later career success, provides a holistic learning experiences promotes active participation in professional society affairs as well as spurs the development of mentorship and leadership skills: all imperatives for students and young professionals to flourish and excel in their careers. 

Thanks to the continued leadership and generosity of Dr. Bose to SBE, in 2020 the community:

• Held 10 SBE Virtual Conferences 
• Educated, engaged and funded 400 biological students conference registration
• Facilitated dynamic networking opportunities and student poster sessions with esteemed engineers
