Modeling and Simulation Applications in the Pharmaceutical Industry - Dr. Richard D. Braatz

This presentation provides an overview of modeling and simulation applications in the pharmaceutical industry, including mechanistic, machine learning, and hybrid models. Specific case studies for data-driven models range from the industrial application of multivariate statistics methods in the 1990s to machine learning methods in the last decade to automated machine learning, large language models, and tensorial analytics more recently. Specific case studies for mechanistic models include macroscopic, particle scale, and more recently to intracellular and intra-organelle models.
