As chemical and process engineering students, you are familiar with process simulation software. But the industry also uses engineering simulation software dealing with a wide range of physics and scale, including design and optimization of unit operation equipment.  Advancements in computing power have accelerated the adoption and broadened the utility of detailed engineering design and analysis software to help engineers meet increasingly complex demands on product performance, production yield, energy usage, the environment and sustainability.

Attend this workshop to develop an understanding of the underlying modeling and simulation technology, along with the trends influencing broader adoption of engineering simulation software in the process industries. Students will see a demonstration of ANSYS AIM software and will learn how to download/access the student version.  This presentation by industry experts will benefit students who are interested in pursuing careers in design and analysis within the materials, chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
