A bench scale biomass to liquid facility is constructed and commissioned.  A down draft fixed bed biomass gasification facility is used to convert the biomass into wood gas.  The wood gas is then compressed into the gas cylinder after initial gas clean up.  The gas is to be used in the Fischer Tropsch Reaction.  A single tube fixed bed reactor with 50 mm inner diameter and 1 meter in length is used as the Fischer Tropsch reactor.  The reactor is heated with oil bath at the controlled temperature.  Wood gas from the cylinder is cleaned up in a special designed gas clean up facility to lower the total sulphur content to less than 10 ppbv.  The reactor has the capacity of producing 100 g liquid products a day.  This facility is to demonstrate COMPS’s new Once-Through Fischer Tropsch Process and will lead to the design of a BTL pilot plant.
