(25e) Trends in Investment in Ethylene-Based Technology in the Middle East

The rise in the oil prices, growth in the petrochemical markets and the opening of the Middle East for foreign investor are the perfect condition for successful investment in the petrochemical sector. New industrial cities are planned either as an expansion of existing cities, or brand new cities. The latter, in some instances, is seen as a matter of national security.

This paper will address new ethylene-based complexes in the Middle East in various stages, from planning to execution, and their impact on the global petrochemical markets.
