Front End CDHydro is a step out ethylene recovery technology that utilizes catalytic distillation technology to achieve raw gas hydrogenation. This in turn allows for an optimization of the ethylene recovery system. Front End CDHydro will eliminate 40 pieces of equipment from the flowsheet and save over 5 MW in compression power. The technology has been operating for over 1 year at a large scale semi-commercial demonstration unit in Tianjin, China.

The presentation will describe the technology, the performance of the semi-commercial unit, and the impact upon the ethylene recovery flowsheet.
