Electrochemistry & Electrochemical Engineering for Environmental & Sustainability Applications

Chair(s)

Choi, W. T., University of Florida

Co-chair(s)

Adams, J. S., University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

This session focuses on investigations related to the use of electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering for environmental and sustainability applications. Fundamental studies on topics such as aqueous or gas phase sensing of contaminants; degradation, conversion, or removal of target environmental contaminants; and the use of electrochemical techniques to understand environmental processes are encouraged. Fundamental research that focuses on understanding electrochemical, chemical, and physical mechanisms are also highly encouraged, as well as the development or advancement of electrochemical techniques that seek to solve outstanding environmental challenges.
