(494i) Design and Development of an It / OT Emerged Experiment for Industrial Cybersecurity

The increasingly complex and networked characteristics combined with industrial control system (ICS) make processes vulnerable to cyber-attacks that can lead to major disruptions, or even incidents and accidents. In this study, a miniature physical system was designed and developed to mimic a typical liquid handling process in the energy infrastructure. This miniature system includes storage devices, pumps, and control valves. The process has been built at the bench-scale for easy demonstration of research activities and the microcontroller has been built by using Arduino kit. Different industrial cybersecurity experiments can be conducted using this platform.
