Achieving carbon neutrality requires efficient treatment of greenhouse gases, particularly CO2. Several technologies, including absorption, adsorption, and membrane separation, are available for CO2 treatment. Among these, membrane separation has advantages such as low energy consumption, ease of operation, and scalability. This study utilizes advanced optimization techniques to perform techno-economic optimization on a three-stage membrane separation and liquefaction process. The performance of the membrane, including CO2/N2 selectivity and permeance, was assumed and analyzed, along with future carbon credit scenarios, to determine the economically viable process case.
