Renewable molecules and materials development requires expertise from wide span of existing modern technology from chemical industry but also encounters new frontiers in feedstock peculiarities, processing complexities, separation challenges, and structural-properties novelties. This session addresses all aspects of process/product development in renewable polymers and intermediates. A more sustainable material will come not only as a simple replacement for the existing but also as more cost effective one with unique material characteristics that are demanded by the market. The subject area interested should include biotechnology, chemistry, material science, and engineering in research and production of such materials.
