We demonstrate a polymer-based gas sensor platform for classification and concentration determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released during commercially-relevant processes. Each sensor within the platform is composed of an ultrathin polymer film deposited by chemical vapor deposition. The platform combines individual sensors with unique polymer chemistries to enable a spectrum of interactions to environmental VOCs that are readily observed during measurements. We multiplex the responses and achieve classification and regression tasks. We applied this sensor platform to the early detection of Huanglongbing (HLB) citrus greening disease, responsible for 60%/yr citrus crop loss in Florida.
