Welcome to the Maryland Local Section community site!
Formed in 1935, the Maryland chapter is the sixth-oldest local section in AIChE. Since its inception, it has been comprised of degreed and/or practicing chemical engineers in eastern, central, and most of western Maryland, although meetings and events have often been attended from other nearby areas.
Especially in the recent past, our events have generally been located in the Baltimore area as this is the state's most populous area; however, recent attempts have been made to expand that geographic range to the rest of the section.
