“How to create a Genuine Network”
The evening started out enjoying appetizers and networking with fellow engineers. The OneOK Suite at Skelly Stadium looks out over the football field where many great games have been played. To think about it, team work is the corner stone of a great team. Pulling together a diverse group of people and instilling a vision. When in the trenches, it is easy to lose sight of the big picture. Sharing thoughts and ideas with other engineers helps to broaden ones perspective.
Dr. Cara Cowan Watts then gave a presentation on networking. She is a powerhouse and likes to lift up others. As her Linkedin page says, she is an “Engineer, Ranch Hand & Connector for the Greater Good!” She is a great example of a person that cares for others.
Finally, the SWE University of Tulsa were great hosts. It was nice to meet several future engineers. They are excited and are working hard to be the next generation of engineers.
