PROGRAM THEME: An Energy Resilient Facility

Building Resiliency Into Energy Distribution, Use, and Procurement

We have an exceptional group of speakers for this year's annual event.   The meeting takes place at the Armstrong World Industries Innovation Center on Thursday, November 17, where we met  last year.  Doors open at 4:30p for networking, food and interactions with vendors. As usual, bring guests, but be sure to sign up at richheiden@gmail.com.   The cost is 25$ for AFE members and non-members. Student cost is $15.  Credit card payments are accepted on-line below.  Deadline for registration and payment is November 11.

Interruptions in energy supply or delivery are costly, sometimes dangerous, and can undermine efforts to conserve energy.  They can be on-site, localized, or  large scale, involving pipeline infrastructure or grids.  What can be done to prepare a facility for these undesirable events?   Other than expensive energy storage, are there measures to prevent or mitigate downtime or damage ?  How can infrastructure be modified or upgraded to avert instabilities?   Find out answers to these questions at the Forum.

This year’s event will include an expanded vendor participation area-(Vendor contact: Jim Baker- jsbaker@armstrong.com for vendor details)
