Anheuser-Busch Tour

Anheuser-Busch will host the St. Louis Section of AIChE for a plant tour along with members of the St. Louis Section of the International Society of Automation. The tour will include:

• Research Pilot Brewery – covers brewhouse/brewkettle, fermentation, lagering, and possibly finishing.
• Tasting Room – opportunity to discuss cleanliness and chemical impacts on flavors and sensory perception.
• Line Filler/Packaging – automation, microbial, and other chemical topics that impact flavor/sensory, shelf life, etc.

If you are attending the tour next week, A-B has asked for everyone to wear jeans and a ball cap. Safety glasses and steel toe shoes are a plus. The tour will be going into the production areas that normal tours do not enter.

After the tour, we have a reservation at the Biergarten for those that are interested in grabbing some food and drink and mingling with your fellow AIChE members as well as our friends from the local ISA section. The tour is free and dinner is at your own expense. Please plan to park at the Tour Center & Biergarten at 1200 Lynch St, St Louis, MO 63118

The schedule is:

4:45 pm - Arrive for check-in
5:00 pm - Tour Begins (sharp, do not be late!)
6:45 pm - Tour Ends
7:00 pm - Reservation at the Biergarten (kitchen closes at 7:30 pm)
8:00 pm - Biergarten Closes

There is limited space, so the first 20 people that register are all that we can guarantee spots! Please contact Todd Jaco at tandrewjaco@gmail.com to register, using the email subject line "Register for AB Tour" and please include if you would like to go to the Biergarten afterwards. If you do not receive a response from Todd then you are not registered (please use the requested subject line). If you do not say Yes or No to the Biergarten afterwards, then you will be defaulted to not attending and may not have a place to sit.

There will be a hard cutoff on January 16th at 12:00 pm for registration!

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE TOUR, BUT IF YOU HAVE REGISTERED AND CANNOT ATTEND....YOU MUST CONTACT TODD TO CANCEL. FAILURE TO CANCEL WILL RESULT IN A $20.00 NO SHOW FEE ASSESSED.
