Subject: 2021 Science Fair Awardees!

Hi David!

Thank you so much for sponsoring special awards at the 2021 Academy of Science - St. Louis Science eFair! We really appreciate your dedication to helping students in the St. Louis area explore their world through scientific investigations. The American Institute of Chemical Engineers - St. Louis Section has inspired so many children through the years! THANK YOU!

Below is the list of awardees, and attached are images of their projects

There is also a thank you note from one of the students, and I will forward the other thank you notes to you as we receive them.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you! I hope you are having a great summer!

Thank you so much for your generosity. It's such an honor to get an award from you all! I chose this project because I wanted to make an environmental impact and I wasn't seeing enough of an impact from commercial companies today. The usage of chemicals harms the organic biodegration of bioplastics as well as harm wildlife. I was surprised how using organic ingredients I could make a bioplastic that biodegraded 23% faster than the commercial ones. I didn't think homemade ingredients would produce such an efficient bioplastic and I actually thought that usage of chemicals would decompose the plastics faster, but not always. Receiving this award means so much to me and I really value your consideration of my project. Thank you again!  - Kareena K., Grade 10
