Speaker Bio and Presentation Abstract

Paul Tower of Applied Filter Technology will be discussing siloxane removal systems for various markets across the Pacific Northwest and the world. Applied Filter Technology built the first pioneering system for the purification of digester gas in 1996. The first SAG System focused on the removal of siloxanes to protect SCR catalyst on a GE LM 2500 turbine.

Since then, AFT has developed standard methods for characterization of biogas contaminants and established proven methods for removal of these components in power generation applications. AFT’s SAG, SAGPack, SulfrPack, SulfrStrip, WaterStrip, SWOP and WavePack Systems are now used around the world on more than 167 sites. As the technology leader in biogas to power, heat and upgrade, AFT focuses exclusively on providing innovation to the use of this valuable resource.

Our speaker, Paul, holds an MS in environmental science and is president of AFT.
