In November we will be holding our annual officer elections for the 2015 AIChE Local Section Officers. In addition to the elections, we will have a presentation from Martha McCabe about volunteer opportunities with the KC STEM Alliance. Come out and vote for your new AIChE officers, support your colleagues that are running for office, and learn about the KC STEM Alliance! Please RSVP by Friday, November 14th.

The following offices are up for election:
Vice Chairman - Plans and arranges monthly section meetings. This typically includes communicating with venues, speakers, and other entities to plan meetings and activities. The Vice Chairman also assists other officers, especially the Chairman, in the performance of their duties. The Vice Chairman becomes the Chairman the following year.
Secretary - Prepares and sends out monthly newsletter and meeting notices, maintains the section mailing list, and records minutes of officer meetings.
Webmaster - Maintain and update the local section website and social media (Facebook and Twitter) pages and provide e-commerce (PayPal) links for newsletter, etc.
Membership Chairman - Help out local section recruit and retain members. Coordinate with Company Liaisons. Plan section social and young professional events.
Joint Engineering Council (JEC) Representative- Attend monthly JEC meetings and report to the AIChE officers on JEC and other Kansas City engineering organization activities.
