AIChE NSEF Nominations EXTENDED to Monday, December 3rd, 2018 (NOT 12/23)!! Serving on NSEF’s Executive Committee is a great way to get involved with NSEF with minimal time commitments.!!
The AIChE Nanoscale Science and Engineering Forum (NSEF) is accepting nominations for positions for the Executive Committee for the 2018-2020 term. Self-nominations will be accepted and are encouraged. In your nomination package, please include the candidate’s name, biography, and photo as a Word document. This file can be emailed directly to the NSEF Chair, Samantha Meenach, at smeenach@uri.edu. Nominations are due by November 26th, 2018. A description of the open positions follows.
Vice Chair: Responsibilities include formulating and implementing long-term plans and strategic activities for the Forum; Leading fundraising activities for the Forum; Implementing projects in coordination with the Chair; Serving as Forum liaison to the Institute. The Vice Chair serves a two-year term and is automatically promoted to Chair for a two-year term then Past Chair for a two-year term. Responsibilities for these positions are below.
Secretary/Treasurer: Responsibilities include keeping records of the proceedings of the Forum; Handling the general correspondence of the Forum, and shall, at the direction of the Chair, issue all notices of all meetings.
At-Large Executive Committee Members: Responsibilities include providing guidance and supporting activities of the Forum.
Description of Chair and Past Chair (not up for election):
Chair: Responsibilities include developing the Forum in accordance with the Forum Goal and Objectives; Providing leadership and management for the Forum; Serving as the presiding officer for all Forum and Executive Committee meetings; Coordinating activities through the leadership of the Executive Committee.
Past Chair: Responsibilities include chairing the Awards Committee.
