Zainab Abbas recently graduated from the American University of the Middle East with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Her capstone project captivated her in the world of climate change, public health, and green engineering. She is currently a chemical engineer at the Kuwait’s Government Center for Quality Control, Testing, and Research and is hoping to pursue her graduate studies in the public health sector. Her research about converting solid waste in Kuwait to syngas unlocked visions of the great potential that countries have to transform environments into the better; better climate, better health, and better planet.
