Dr. Yuebin Guo is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and funding Director of Consortium for Surface Integrity and Functionality at The University of Alabama. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in advanced manufacturing from Purdue University and UC-Berkeley, respectively. He has been internationally recognized for his seminal research contributions to the development, understanding, and control of sustainable manufacturing processes, which has produced significant impacts in manufacturing science and engineering. Dr. Guo is an author of 280+ peer-refereed technical publications. He has received the prestigious SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award, SAE Teetor Educational Award, NSF CAREER Award, Tau Beta Pi Outstanding Faculty Award, Humboldt Research Award for experience scientists, and Changjiang Endowed Guest Chair Professor. He is an elected Fellow of ASME, SME, AvH, ISNM, and a member of CIRP.
