Dr. Yin Wang is a Professor in the Institute of Urban Environment at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Technology Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology and conducted a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan. Afterwards, he joined as an Associate Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Multi-Phase Systems in the Institute of Process Engineering at CAS.

Dr. Wang is an executive member of the China Energy Environmental Protection High-Tech Industry Association, along with being a member of the Chinese Particuology Society and Technology Innovation Alliance for Municipal Biomass Gas, China. He is the First Class recipient of the Science and Technology Award of China Analytical Instrument Association for Micro Fluidized Bed Reaction Analysis Approach and Instrument, 2010.

His research interests lie in the development of organic solid waste treatment technologies, including biomass waste, sewage sludge, municipal solid waste, kitchen waste, animal manure and other similar wastes. Dr. Wang has published over 80 paper and has applied for over 60 patents, with over 40 being authorized.
