
Dr. Xinhuai Ye is currently a Research Chemical Engineer at Prairie Research Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He accepted his Ph. D in Chemical Engineering at Vanderbilt University in 2003. He has extensive experience in research and development and applications of membrane-based technologies. These include proton-exchange membranes (PEMs) for PEMFCs and direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs), membranes for H2 separation and CO2 capture, reverse osmosis membrane, and gas separation/purification using membrane, absorption, and adsorption methods. He is the first author of three U. S. patents and more than fifteen papers in peer reviewed journals.
