Taliehsadat Alebrahim

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University at Buffalo. In my research, I develop, engineer, and characterize novel sorption-enhanced membrane materials for CO2 capture. I’m working on designing and preparing advanced membrane materials and separation techniques as clean, energy-efficient, and low-cost alternative technology to the conventional energy-intensive methods. I am working to discover the underlying mechanism of structure/properties relationship in novel membranes for gas separation, in which the process can be carried out continuously under mild conditions with much lower energy consumption, and without the need for additives. My research projects have resulted in the publication of my work in prestigious scientific journals.
