Sydney Krueger, a second-generation transit professional with seven years of hydrogen experience, is a recognized leader in hydrogen technologies. She serves as the North American National Sales Representative for Ballard Power Systems and as President and Senior Hydrogen SME at KTC Consulting. Over the past three years, she has helped drive a 500% increase in fuel cell electric bus growth, with more than 300 buses now deployed across North America and production scaling at a rate of 150–300 buses per year.
Her expertise spans hydrogen fueling station development, mobile fueler procurement strategies to minimize boil-off, grant writing, implementation planning, and 12-year life cycle assessments. She currently leads fueling station projects in Reno, Nevada; Stockton, California; and New York City, where KTC is the prime contractor for the city’s first hydrogen station.
As the founding member of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Hydrogen Working Group, Sydney is a key voice in advancing hydrogen adoption in transit. Fluent in French and an MBA graduate with honors, she has secured more than $184 million in grant funding to support hydrogen initiatives. With her extensive network and proven track record, Sydney is recognized as a trusted advisor driving sustainable, cost-effective, and innovative solutions for the future of transit.
