Steve Eason

 Steve has  over  40 years  of  experience  in  the  Chemical Industry along with several in the Food and Beverage Industry. He has worked in a number of roles including R&D, process technology, engineering, operations and process safety management. His most recent assignment was Global Process Safety Manager for Honeywell. At Honeywell, Steve held prior roles as the Director of Engineering for the Chemicals Division and the Director  of  Process  Technology  for  uranium  hexafluoride (UF6).

Steve developed and deployed all of Honeywell’s corporate PSM policies and implemented a comprehensive corporate audit program for PSM and RMP.  He led over 30 site PSM audits globally and worked with Divisions within Honeywell to profile PSM needs and implement PSM programs where none previously existed.

Steve’s  23  years  at  Air  Products  and  Chemicals  included  roles  in  production  and process engineering; technical management and project management at several US sites; and executive levels including Global Process Technology Manager for Chemicals. Steve  was  recognized  for  leadership  in  developing  and  deploying  the  first  PSM programs at Air Products and Chemicals in the early 1990s.

Prior to joining Honeywell, Steve was the Vice President Process Technology for E&J Gallo Winery where he led the implementation of chemical engineering principles into winemaking. Early in his career Steve worked in various oil and gas roles at Shell Oil and American Petro Fina of Texas.

Steve has broad experience in corporate and business unit roles, and working in small and large facilities with continuous and batch processes across a multitude of chemical technologies. He has worked extensively internationally and has served on many due diligence teams for acquisitions in the US, Europe, and Asia.  He has deployed PSM systems for various acquisitions globally.

Steve is the President for High Desert Process Safety Management, LLC where he provides PSM audit and PSM implementation services globally.

He  holds  a  Bachelor’s  degree  in  Chemical  Engineering  from  New  Mexico  State University  and  a  Master’s  degree  in  Chemical  Engineering  from  Lehigh  University. Steve is a registered professional engineer in NM and a Certified Process Safety Auditor.
