Mr. Stephen Plaisance is the Technical Leader for the South Region Machinery Diagnostics Services (MDS) division of GE Energy’s Measurement and Control Services. He held the position of MDS Service Manager after being an MDS Field Technician for performing mechanical diagnostics on rotating equipment. During this period he was also on the development team for various monitor solutions and portable diagnostic equipment for rotating machinery. Stephen joined the Bently Nevada Corporation in 1992 and is the Leader in the USA Southern Region on General Electric’s System 1 software, Bently Performance software, and the installation and optimization of Rulepaks for the Decision Support extender for System 1. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering for Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture from the United States Naval Academy.
