Shawn Hoffart currently serves as the LNG Technology Manager for Oil & Gas within Black & Veatch's energy business. As Technology Manager, he is responsible for all aspects of project developments in the LNG area. This includes the supervision of all lead process engineers working in the specific technology area. He reviews and approves all major process design parameters and process guarantees in the technology area to ensure a quality design, serves as a technical consultant to upper management, and is responsible for staying abreast of and evaluating emerging technology and maintaining the company's position in the gas processing and cryogenic technology area.
Previously, as LNG Section Lead, Shawn Hoffart has managed and had overall technical responsibility for process engineering of all gas liquefaction projects completed by Black & Veatch. He also served as the Lead Process Engineer on many LNG projects, and has completed the startup of several LNG facilities. Hoffart has also published multiple papers on LNG technology and plant design.
