Sagar Lonkar is a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Texas A&M University, College Station (Email: sklonkar@tamu.edu). He obtained his B.E. in chemical engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly UDCT), Mumbai, India in 2011. Sagar is pursuing research on carboxylate platform of biofuels under the guidance of Dr. Mark Holtzapple. His research interests include maximizing medium-chain fatty acids production in mixed-culture fermentation and their selective extraction.
