VP for Energy and Innovation

Ramanan Krishnamoorti is the VP for Energy and Innovation at the University of Houston, leading the university's efforts to establish education, research and outreach partnerships to address the world's most pressing energy and innovation challenges. He has served in multiple administrative role including Interim Vice Chancellor and Interim Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer for UH System and UH during 2015 to 2017 and Chief Energy Officer from 2013 to 2022. He is also a professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering.
Krishnamoorti obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and doctoral degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University in 1994.
