
Pranjal is an Officer at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (listed in Fortune Global 500 Companies). Pranjal joined Indian Oil after completing his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (India’s first energy domain-specific institute along lines of IITs). After Qualifying for JEE Advanced 2018, he got admitted to RGIPT and graduated as a gold medalist in Chemical Engineering. He is the recipient of the 2019-20 Donald F Othmer Sophomore Academic Excellence Award and the 2021 Honeywell UOP ScaleUp Sponsors Contest. With his specialization in Petroleum Refining, he got featured in Dew Journal as the winner of the Brain Teaser Contest.
Pranjal has also served AIChE RGIPT Student Chapter for 4 years and finally as a Student President (2021-22). In his keen interest in spreading engineering principles, he has served as a teaching assistant for Heat Transfer Operations and Fluid Flow Operations to Sophomores.
His collaborative research on CO₂ Capture from green solvents involved: the synthesis of in-lab deep eutectic solvents, CO2 absorption capacity analysis, VLE Modelling, critical properties determination, modelling and development of process flow sheets from simulated gas and multi-stage heat integration on simulators.
Pranjal has published his undergraduate research work in prestigious international journals including the Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering (IF 2022: 7.968) and the Journal of Cleaner Production (IF 2022: 11.072). He has presented his research work at the 2020 AIChE Annual Conference, 15th Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies Conference, ICOSSE’20.
