Dr. Peter Meinhold is an industrial biotech and agtech entrepreneur and currently serves as CTO of Provivi, Inc. Originally from Germany, Peter moved to the U.S. to pursue a Ph.D. in biochemistry in the research group of Prof Frances Arnold at Caltech. In 2005, he co-founded Gevo, Inc., a leading renewable fuels and chemicals company that uses engineered yeast to convert renewable sugars into isobutanol. In 2013, he co-founded Provivi, Inc. with Prof Frances Arnold and Dr. Pedro Coelho to create scalable, pheromone-based insect control solutions to support farmers and improve the quality of life and the health of our environment.
