Owaiz is a Customer Success Lead at Risk Alive Analytics Inc. For over five years, he has helped clients in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries achieve Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance through on-site work for a number of their facilities and quite recently, leveraged data analytics to achieve the same. Owaiz graduated with a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and is a certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE).
He currently engages with clients and helps them implement and integrate analytics into their existing work processes to make them safer, more efficient, and profitable. He has conducted several in-person and remote workshops to drive the adoption of risk analytics by Operations, Maintenance & Reliability, and Instrumentation groups. Using Risk Alive®, he has helped clients worldwide identify top threats at their sites, optimize Operational and Capital expenditure on a site and enterprise-scale, and achieve quality and consistency in their Risk Assessments.
He is proficient in unit and site-wide relief systems evaluation, design correction, and de-bottlenecking. He has also performed many large and small-scale atmospheric dispersion analyses and has been involved with flare hydraulic evaluation projects.
