Muthanna H. Al-Dahhan

Muthanna H. Al-Dahhan is the Curators’ Distinguished Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Science at the Missouri Univ. of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), as well as the College of Engineering and Computing Distinguished Professor and the Laufer Endowed Chair in Energy. He is an affiliated Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic Univ., Morocco. He is the past chair of the Linda and Bipin Doshi Dept. of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (2009–2019), an AIChE Fellow, and the 2019 recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award of Washington Univ. in St. Louis’ Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering Dept. He has received many national and international awards and recognitions, including from the students and coworkers who worked under his supervision. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed articles and given 55 plenary and keynote lectures, 160 invited talks, and 500 conference presentations. He has obtained over $15 million in research funding from national and international agencies and industry. He has served as a consultant and expert for various domestic and international organizations. Al-Dahhan received a BS with honors from the Univ. of Baghdad, Iraq, an MS from Oregon State Univ., and a DSc from Washington Univ. in St. Louis, all in chemical engineering.
