Morgan Ellis is a PhD candidate in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering at Auburn Univ. She obtained her BS in chemical engineering from the Univ. of South Florida in 2015. In her graduate research, she is developing 3D engineered cardiac tissue models for studying genetic congenital heart disease under the guidance of Dr. Elizabeth Lipke. Her research interests include developing a robust platform for studying both electrophysiological and structural congenital heart disease and employing 3D bioprinting technologies for engineered cardiac tissue production
