Professor Margot Vigeant, Robert L. Rooke Professor in Engineering at Bucknell University, has been successful and influential in obtaining significant external funding to study and improve engineering education.  She has won recognition of her work from her colleagues, her alma mater (University of Virginia), the Journal of Chemical Engineering Education, the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and the ASEE National Chemical Engineering Division.  She has accomplished much in the areas of inquiry-based learning and understanding and correcting misconceptions in thermodynamics and heat transfer.  Her influence also extends to a library of over 30 high-quality instructional videos on thermodynamics, shared with the educational community, her work into student motivation and curiosity, and her involvement in the Maker Movement.
