Mahdi Nouri, Fellow of Institute of Chemical Engineers, Chartered Engineer, and AIChE Senior Member, has a solid gas treating and processing and cryogenic gas processing (NGL and LNG facilities) experience as a Process Engineering Team Leader, Consultant, Technology Manager, Study Manager, Start-up Lead, and Process Engineer for technology development, consultancy, design, economic analysis, optimization, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and operation support of midstream facilities. Mahdi has held key leadership roles in design of over two-dozen gas processing plants, five LNG facilities, and four world-class cryogenic gas processing plants during commissioning and start-up.

Mahdi is a graduate of Azad University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He is a vice chair of GPA facilities design, operation & maintenance; director of AIChE fuel and petrochemical division (2017-2020), program vice chair of AIChE management division, and official member of GPSA. He has presented the AIChE Gas Utilization Keynote address and has authored several GPA technical reports and papers, and has also organized and chaired several technical sessions in the world of gas processing. Mahdi is the Lead of Process Control in Gas Processing Facilities workgroup since 2014, and Lead of Midstream Facilities Optimization Checklist workgroup at GPA Midstream.

He is primary author for the Gas Treating and Processing: Advances in Design and Operation Book (CRC Press), and also the Process Plant Design and Lifecycle Management Book (Elsevier).

Mahdi was also honored with the Outstanding Presentation Awards after presenting his papers at AIChE/2015 Spring Meeting in Austin, Texas and AIChE/2016 Spring Meeting in Houston, Texas.
