Dr. Li is a professor in the Dan F. Smith Department of Chemical Engineering at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, where he has been since 1978. He had four years industrial working experiences before joining Lamar. His research activities include applications of dynamic simulation in chemical process industry, pollution control by photo-catalytic oxidation, and development of low cost silicon production process. His consultant work includes several leading chemical and electronic material companies. He also performed environmental consultancy to the United Nations Development Programs (UNDP) in China in 1990. Dr. Li holds a Bachelors of Science degree and a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from Mississippi State University in 1977.
