Founder & CEO of Captis Aire LLC, Kim has >20 years experience in R&D and commercialization in the industry and > 5 years experience commercializing, developing, and operating the Fluidized Bed Concentrator to capture volatile products in biomass processing applications.  A serial entrepreneur, Kim launched Captis Aire to transfer the Fluidized Bed Concentrator (FBC) volatile organic compound control technology from existing commercialized applications including the automotive manufacturing sector to the biomass processing applications including wood drying and fermentation.  Kim brings R&D, project management, and applications testing experience to this work.  Experience includes successful deployment and operation of the FBC pilot unit with Bead Activated Carbon for capturing volatile products and controlling emissions from wood drying at a commercial-oriented strand board (OSB) mill.  Efforts included technology identification, collaboration with partner company Environmental C&C, coordination with multiple previous intracompany divisions, and with multiple functional capabilities including engineering, environmental, manufacturing, intellectual property creation, etc.  Kim secured access to proprietary FBC Technology via license agreement to Captis Aire LLC from the technology owner.  Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and MBA in Technology & Engineering Management with a 3.91 GPA.
