Ken Tague CSP, CCPSC has 38 years of operations experience in the chemical and agricultural processing industries.  Since retirement in 2019, he has worked with CCPS and AIChE as a staff consultant. He has held roles during his career in process and project engineering, process development, plant management, and 10 years in corporate process safety management and loss prevention. He has specific expertise in Risk Based Process Safety and process safety management system program auditing, serving as lead auditor in over 100 audits. He has developed employee training programs for combustible dust, process safety incident warning signs, effective process safety management systems, process safety management (PSM) program auditing, process hazard identification, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA). He has also participated on committees for the CCPS books Recognizing and Responding to Normalization of Deviance, Dealing with Aging Process Facilities and Infrastructure, and Driving Continuous Improvement from Investigated Incidents, and for the web-based courses “Hazard Identification for Operations and Maintenance Workers.” In 2020 he created the e-learning module “Practical Process Safety 2” for AIChE/CCPS and SAChE.  Ken is a 1981 chemical engineering graduate from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN. He is a certified safety professional, a CCPS certified process safety professional, and was voted in as an Emeritus member of the CCPS in 2019.
