Kat Duggan

Kat Duggan is the leader of digital strategy and manufacturing digital innovation for the Coatings and Performance Monomers businesses within the Dow Chemical Company. Her area of focus includes change management, manufacturing’s relationship to IT and Operational IT (IT/OT), batch vs. continuous process configurations and perspective impact of Industry 4.0, and the role of the end user within digital product scoping and long term governance.

After receiving her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University in 2013, Kat spent the next 7 years in Coatings manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania and Illinois. She led efforts to maintain stable, reliable, and safe operations within those facilities, notably leading conceptual design and implementation efforts for the process control over Wi-Fi project, known as Mobile Worker. Since 2020, she has held multiple leadership roles with M&E has been widely recognized for her leadership and technical contributions across Dow.

Kat has received two Dow Technology Center Awards, the highest award for technical contribution and commercialization of technology at Dow, and received the 2020 Rising Digital Star Award from the Manufacturing Leadership Council, a division of the National Association of Manufacturers.
